Description
The TOXFREE ZH YMz1Kf safety cable is LSHF. It doesn't release corrosive or hazardous gasses in the case of a fire, protecting humans and electronic devices from potential harm. It is therefore strongly advised for usage in public settings like hospitals, schools, museums, bus terminals, airports, shopping centers, offices, labs, etc.

According to EN 60332-1/IEC 60332-1, flames do not spread.

Low Smoke Halogen Free, or LSHF, is as defined by EN 60754-1/IEC 60754-1.
According to UNE-EN 61034 and IEC 61034, low smoke emission is defined as light transmittance > 80%.

Class 5 (flexible) electrolytic annealed copper conductor in accordance with EN and IEC 60228.
Insulation
IEC 60502-1 classifies cross-linked polyethylene as type XLPE, while HD 603 classifies it as type DIX-3. In accordance with HD 308, insulated conductors are typically identified as follows:

Electrolytic annealed copper conductor class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228 and IEC 60228.
2. Insulation
Special low smoke and halogen free polyolefin insulation.
The standard identification of insulated conductors according to HD 308 is the following:

3. Outer sheath
Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) polyolefin outer sheath, not toxic and fire retardant. Green colour. Other outer sheath colours available on request.
